League of Legends // Before Dawn Environment Textures
Fun fact: our texturing for the marble battle map was inspired by the work of Yutaka Sone, a Japanese artist/architect who actually carves cities out of stone! (shown: Manhatten by Yutaka Sone)

As easy as it would’ve been to just say the map was made using magic, it was super cool to find real life reference for how it might be done and I think it helps to ground the end result.

For the map, I helped my team establish a base texture in Substance Painter while Chris Ostrowski went in by hand to brush up the detail shots.

League of Legends // Before Dawn Environment Textures
This second cinematic for Riot was for the Sentinels of Light event! As a fan of the lore around League of Legends, I was very excited to get to work on some environments in the world of Runeterra. Before Dawn takes place in Demacia at the Mageseeker compound, a fortress-prison housing many magical artifacts. Getting to bring this setting to life was a lot of fun, and my contributions include texturing on the towers, stone, marble map, and various props around the scene. Lots of love to the team, and our small texturing squad of Anastasia Shiyankova and Chris Ostrowski in particular; I very much appreciate their guidance and support!
